Deaf Alerter DA2000 Transmitter

Deaf Alerter transmitters are wall-mounted (normally) and located within the fire alarm evacuation zones, as specified by our site survey engineer. They are permanently connected to the building's fire alarm control panel, either directly or via an interface on the alarm system’s addressable loop. These connections are made with fire-rated cable.

Features

The transmitter contains its own battery backup in case of failure of the mains electrical supply. This meets and exceeds the capacity requirements as set out in BS5839-1 and EN54-2/4.

The transmitter continuously monitors its own health in terms of availability of mains power, availability of battery backup, output power from the transmitter and VSWR of the aerial system. Any failure will be automatically detected and reported visually/audibly on the front panel and output to the fire alarm control panel. On addressable systems, the fire alarm panel can be programmed to display the appropriate message. An option also allows an email to be sent internally and externally on the event of a fault or activation.

When a Deaf Alerter system is installed in a building, we guarantee total building coverage. Depending on the size of the building, this may require multiple transmitters. This is determined by a site survey.
